I just moved to the area and absolutely love this small, family owned course. The staff is exceptional; friendly, fun, and fast! There are quick food and drink options on the turn, often times they have a beverage cart out which is great on hot days, and the conditions are superb and comparable to private courses in the area. Prices are excellent!! I’ve been working in the industry for over 20 years and love when I find a fun and professional environment to play at!
Course is fair and kept in decent shape by the grounds crew. 2 star bc the staff is incompetent and straight rude.
The best part of the experience is coming to leave this review and seeing the next most recent review was about the same rude northerner behind the desk. Literally can’t comprehend how tee times and pace of play work.
I started on 10 where I was the only person on the back 9 all round. Made the turn to 3 groups stacked waiting on 1….when asked I was told I should be happy they did me a favor to let me start on 10 and my only option was to play the back a second time???
The place was in good shape today. But the young lady from Indiana working the cash register this morning had nothing but Insulting comments !!!!!! The other lady with her was nice and saw me and my friend was getting upset and tried to help. The young lady from Indiana should maybe clean the restrooms for a while to Respect people from Tennessee.
It's been a few years since playing here and unfortunately today was in some heavy rain. That said, the course was in great shape, tee boxes were great, the greens were in excellent shape and rolled very well. And so nice to be at a driving range where you can hit off the grass. Staff is always pleasant and add to a great experience.
We always enjoy playing Dead Horse. The course was in excellent shape. The greens were extremely fast! The pro shop folks are always nice and helpful. We will definitely be back!
Its in pretty good shape for late April.. But I'm not a fan of the multiple foam inserts in every green.
I play here 4-6 times almost every month, (weather and schedule permitting) for around 12 years or so. The new greens are great. The staff, however, are the nicest guys - always. Never had an issue here. Last spring, (2022) I actually tweaked my back a bit on the 5th tee...went to the pro shop and the guy working the desk actually gave me a rain check for a full 9 holes, even though I had already played 4....DH is a great place.
I've played this course several times and I thoroughly enjoy it. Nice atmosphere, I wish they had a little more food selection but I enjoy playing the course
